Our experience started in September when our mortgage was sold to GMAC. It's funny how most of these stories start with that fact.
First, GMAC claimed we were not making our payments, but we sent copies of all the cashed checks. Then they said we were not paying the correct amount and started sending our mortgage payments back to us.
Now they have sicked their attorney's on us and started foreclosure on our home. They want $12,000.00 they claim we are behind and they'll stop the foreclosure.
We have contacted the Idaho Department of Finance and got them involved by filing a complaint against GMAC. I am waiting to hear from the lady I spoke with at IDOF, to see how her conversation went with GMAC and how they explained how we owe $12,000.
A notice of trustee sale was put on our door today. We sent GMAC's attorney every letter we received and copies of cashed checks via fed-ex overnight. They received this package yesterday and they still put a notice on my door.
Our next step will be to get an attorney, I'm not giving up my home without a fight! This company needs to be stopped from illegally putting families on the street.
