Aurora directs payments towards the principal and not the Amount Due. They send me my statements after the due date and call me before I get the statement to let me know that I am in default. If I send a check before I get the statement, they acredit my payments towards the principal, not the amount due. They have called me numerous times and I go through the explanation ever time. I am sure it is their way of receiving an early payoff of which I am not interested in doing.
