I am a local buisness owner in a small town in florida, my company has been in buisness since 1985 yet I have never used credit cards. Knowing that it would be a profitable decision to get a merchant account, I did some research. Soon after researching I thought I had picked a honest trustworthy company.
United payment services seemed to be a very good pick for my merchant account, being a fourtune 500 company and having what they advertise a (great customer service), little to my knowledge that they are the worst costomer service related company I have ever delt with. I use my credit card machine for phone orders which means I cannot physically swip the card, therefore there is a little more information needed to receive your payment.
In the begining of my merchant account I had a little trouble with the correct information, or illegible information on my invoices. We resolved the problem and I thought everything was fine, it had already been 2 months and they had been sitting on 10,000 dollars of my money. Well needless to say the person I was speeking to (cory) told me that everything was settled with my invoices and that my credit purchases would be deposited by 12:00 a. M that night.
Well no money was deposited and when I called (corey) he told me that the money should be in my account but he will call and see what the problem is. When he called me back he said that the purchaces had to be manually transmitted.
Now three months later (cory) has told me the same story saying my money will be there by midnight. United payments has payed me $2100 of about $12000 of my money and everyday I get the same story that my money will be there at midnight. If you are looking for a good merchant company I strongly suggest using another company.
