In 2001 I bought a new single wide mobile home in Salina, Kansas. I was separated at the time, and bought it in my name.
A short time later I decided to reconcile with my husband. After about 6 months and many bills aquired together, he decided to walk out.
I couldn't afford to keep the house. I spoke to a lawyer, knew the home would be re-posessed, and sold to the highest bidder. I chose to wait until the home was resold, and file bankruptcy on the difference.
In 2004 I filed the bankruptcy, and included Greentree (Conseco) in the bankruptcy for the amount they are harrassing me about now.
They were sent a letter and did not contest the bankruptcy. Now two years later at Christmas time, they are sending me collection notices for 20000.00.
I've received no prior notices of any kind that they were sending me to collection. I thought it was all done and taken care of. I wish there was someone who would defend all of us that are being harassed and scammed by this company. Please help.
