Ripoff Unfair collection tactics adding and failing to remove unneeded insurance threating phone calls at work home and on my cell

My nightmare with Vanderbilt started with a purchase from Oakwood like many others. First they swicthed house's on me then washed my trade in increased the price of the new home by that value. I was forced into closing after giving Oakwood all the cash I had to ensure that the contractor's doing the site preperations would be paid. I was a the time uneployed after an at work injury and two surgeries which they knew.

Reling on my retirement from the U.S. Navy I begun to pay them by allotment from the defense finance and acounting service. Even though they recieved this on the first of every month my account was always carried as late because they didn't credit these funds until mid-month.

When they V.A. Decided that Iwas 30% disabled due to my service I had to start mailing payments. They were already very ticked off at me for envoling this transaction with a local news program and the Attorney generals office to force them to do the repair work required after set-up. This was the first time I recieved the call from the mystery woman who never identifies herself. The call is usually placed from a cell phone the first call said I should think about my family before it, s to late, the second said I should shut before someone shuts me up, The third said you lose we've stopped you dead.in 2001 I filed Bankruptcy to try and keep my home one month later Oakwood filed thier own. This resulted in the forth call saying we're goning to take that house and land you don't have the money we have you will lose.

Soon after that Warren Buffet aquired Clayton-Vanderbilt and the calls from Vanderbilt began the insurance was not good enough even though it was far exciding the replace ment cost of the home. The insurance was added my payment increased the escrow I had payed to Oakwood evaporated. My attorney who assured me she could sue for fruadulent contracts suddenly switched to saying just it back. The person at the news station was soon on a cruise and that was dropped. The assistant at the Attorney Generals office sent a nice letter saying No one would responed to them perhaps I should file my complaint in North Carolina or Tennesee. I fought on like this for several more years.

In 2005 when Katrina hit New Orleans a number of displaced families were booked into the La Quinta Inn that my middle daughter worked at. Helping her we provided these people with much need clothing, school supplies and food. My daughter even cosigned a car loan so that one young family could travel to work. Mr. Ellis Johnson at vanderbilt worked with very dilligently to keep up with my inflated payments. When Rita hit south texas my prospective Son-in-law and his family where hard hit so he and my youngest girl came to live with us. This is when the abuse from Tyrone Johnson and Shameka Davis started first with the treat of we will you drug from the house, and your crap thrown into the street. Calls to work berating the office manager for not calling me to the phone. Calling my daughter's liar's when I was not At home. Calling me repeatedly on my cell phone even when no payment was due.

On Oct. 22nd my youngest daughter was hospitalized for premature labor where she remained until Jan. 19th and delivered a healthy baby boy on 12 feb. I have sense lost my home and I did receive a fifth call from the mystrey woman to say I told you so.

I have lost my home but not the will to fight I found it ironic to read an article by Warren Buffet about how badly we need to bring moraity back to bussiness. As Granddaady use to say make sure your own yards clean before you complian about your nieghbor's. If anyone knows of a class action against Vanderbilt/Oakwood I am more than willing to join the ranks and would much appreciate any such information.
