I was a victim of this scam. I don't know how these fake companys get away with ripping people off. I was promised a $5,000 government grant if I paid $299.00 application and processing fee.
I was sent this application to fill out, after I sent the $299.00 application fee directly from my checking account. After I returned the application with all my personal information including children names and social security number, I received a second package with instructions on how to get student loans and mortgage loans.
I tried to contact Kensington Assistance Agency at a 1800 number but the number was no longer in service.
I would like for someone to contact me and tell me what I can do about this situation. Anybody either professionally or someone who has experienced this from the same company or anything similar.
