I am a blue-collar worker trying to establish a small buisness with the help of BB&T. I have banked there since Jan/05 starting with a personal account only when small but reoccurring fees of $32.00 to $68.00 began to appear more frequently.
I had went to my home branch several times and was partially refunded, most of which were due to mis-calculated errors on their part (of which I have all paper work).
A year later I tried to open a buisness account but was denied several times because of my tax ID number that I applied for. A lot of technicalities due to how my buis. Was to be formed when on one occassion I went to my home branch yet again to argue the balance of my account due to wrongful NSF/Overdraft fees and amongst conversation with the relationships banker after I was refunded partial money I was told that she could open a buis. Account for me.
I agreed and asked several very important questions regaurding the account, ie. Can money be tranfered without my permission? Is it a seperate entity? Etc. All of which were answered and were later found out not to be true.
Over the course of the past six months an estimated $3000.00 dollars between my personal, buis., and savings account is unaccounted for and I have all the documentation that proves otherwise.
I have spoke to several of BB&T's managers, relationship bankers and hot line opperators yet no-one can answer or prove my math as being inncorrect.
I could continue with numerous accounts of unproffessionalism and a "not putting the client first" attitude but I feel this complaint form isnt long enough. Talking to them is like buying a car the way they leave you in the office to go discuss what reason they have for not giving you your money.
I will continue to fight for my money until they can prove that their timeline for withdrawals/deposits is accurate and their fees are just.
