I just reported to you about this company and I had a payment due on 10/6 Friday.
I wrote a letter faxed and emailed it. I appeared I got a response and an email. (see below)
Others who have attempted to get their address was not able to. Keesha, a rep from United Cash phoned me and stated that I could send in the payment by Western Union or by Money Gram. She stated that if I remitted the funds to them by mail (using a US postal money order they would not be able to post it until 14 days (hmmm hard to believe since Oklahoma is not that far from Iowa and I know once a payment hits their address it is considered paid). It's not the consumer problem if they can't post it right away (sounds like an internal problem to me) and I would incur interest fees if it arrived 3 days before the due date (wait a minute... They weren't going to pull it out of my account until the 6th anyway... Hmmmm). Well my account is closed from any further EFT charges so they can deal with that. My US postal receipt will have the date on it to prove that I mailed it in time so let Small Claims handle the rest.
Here's a copy of the letter I faxed and emailed them to prompt action: "Required Fax Notification regarding pay-off of: Loan #UCL123456789
Due to problems with my current checking account on file I am forced to effect that no EFT Debit transactions are being allowed as per "Federal Regulation E".
This is a notification of pay-off of your loan which is due on or about 10/06 for the amount as contracted for $260.00 as per our agreement.
In order to facilitate payment on this loan I will need your mailing address. If you fail to remit your mailing address in a timely fashion I will not be able to pay you on time as per our contract thereby nullifying my responsiblity to pay you any further interest on this contract by your refusale to accept payment of legal tender via mail. I will not submit my payment in full by any other means or manner. This final payment will be made by us postal money order which is considered legal tender of currency that will stand up in court as evidence of attempted payment on my part of which you must accept.
it is of the utmost importance that you cooperate in a timely manner. The US Postal Money Order is in my hands at this time. If you wish to be paid please contact me with your mailing address so I can promptly remit to you in full. Any contact on your part should be made by my home phone or by email.
Any harrassment on your part will be promptly reported to the FBI-Internet Crime Center (and other subsequent government agencies) where a IC3 will be reported and whereas, your company will be investigated for unfair loan practices and fraud.
