Today I recieved a First National Card in the mail. The letter stated that I had been approved for a $6,500.00 credit limit with no interest. Ever.
It sounded to good to be true. Then I started to think... I have never heard of these people? I know nothing of them?
Signs this is a scam:
1) I never applied for this card?
2) How could the have approved me for credit line of $6,500.00 without viewing my credit report? I KNOW I never gave them permission to view my credit report.
3) In the past, when appling for cards, I have been asked if I have a checking/savings account. Never have I been asked to provide the name of my bank, let alone account numbers!
4) Every card I have ever had that has had any kind of fee (application, activation, annual, whatever have you) the merchant has either asked me to mail a check or, the merchant has applied the fees to the card balance right off the bat. Never has a merchant asked for my account number so that they may take the money out of my checking/savings account.
So I went to the web to do some research on CCS.
5) usacomplaints.com alone has almost 1,000 complaints regarding CCS. Almost 1,000 different people from all over the USA with the same complaint.
This is obviously a scam. I have ripped up my approval letter and flushed it down my toilet because CCS is full of it.
