Capital one is a ripoff company that does not even have the decency to respond to you when you question their business practices.
I was charged an annual membership fee (AMF) in october ($59). I have been disputing the claim ever since! I've had this card for over 5 years and have never had a charge like this. I dipute the claim in writing and am responded to with a letter saying they cannot process this request by mail.
In the meantime, I have begun paying online so my payments won't POST ONE DAY AFTER THEY ARE DUE. Every time I paid by mail, my payments would post the day AFTER they were due (even with 7 days to get there).
Then I get a late charge on one account and an over the limit fee ($29 & $29). So now I have $117 in charges on a card with a 28% interest rate! I have been writing and emailing this company almost on a daily basis, including my address and phone number. I cannot get anyone to respond to me! Remember, this all began over 10 months ago!
Capital one's customer service is nonexistant. They sneak fraudulent charges on to your accounts along with uneccessary late fees and over the limit fees.
I am attempting to sever all ties with this company and advise everyone I know to do the same. I am so disgusted this company can get away with this behavior. They suck.
