So, My loan was sold to this company that can't seem to keep their heads on straight. I have always made 2 payments a month, half at the beginning and the other half at the end. The payments were always recieved before due and always went to the following month, ie 2 payments sent in Jan. Were for Feb.
This worked out great for us, its hard to make a large payment at one time when you have other bills due too. When they bought my loan, i stopped recieving mail at my house. It was going to the home we used to live in, my mother-in-laws. I called and told them to send it to the property address since that is were we live. They still sent our mail to the other address, however, we did recieve 1 letter from them. It was a late payment letter.
I called them and told them I have never been late. After much discussion, they realized they misappropriated the funds and would fix it. This would happen monthly for the next few months, minus the letter, it would just be telephone calls. They are a bunch of idiots. They also failed to pay my taxes ontime. Taxes were due in Nov.
I recieved a letter in June stating that they did not recieve my tax payment. Again I had to deal with calling the idiots. They eventually took care of it, but it took them 2 weeks of "investigating". I want away from this company, but will have to wait another year to avoid the prepay off penalty. If you can avoid them at all, I would.
Recently I called to get my payoff they said they would have to mail it and it would cost me $30 and I wouldn't get it for 3-10 days. When I called the company carrying the 20% part of my loan, they gave it to me free of charge over the phone, as well as sending me a copy. Lets see what else this company can screw up within the next year.
