I recieved a phone call from First Capital Consumers Group about recieving two credit cards, a visa and a mastercard, both with 2,500 limits. All the company needed was a one time fee of 199.00. Of course the offer seemed to good to be true considering I have no credit and cant seem to get accepted anywhere. I asked the sales person every question about the company I could think of. I said I would have to think about it. Of course she phoned back a couple of hours later.
Actually I guess I was being nieve but I didnt think people could get away with this. I told her I was uneasy about the situation and she told me if any information she told me was untrue it was a money back guarantee, so I thought what do I have to lose? She even went as far to get the correct spelling of my name and asked if I would like an additional card for my husband I said yes and got the correct spelling on his.
I received the packet 7 weeks later. I called the company because it wasnt 2 credit cards, it was an application for a MasterCard debit card, plus a bunch of other useless stuff.
Finally I got an actual human not a recording after 50 attempts. She pretty much told me too bad. I will not be getting any money back. I asked to speak to a manager and she said she will not be in till later. I tried phoning back later that night and of course could not get thru.
I called the next day, twice both times talked to a rep and heard different stories. The one told me to send the packet back with a written letter of how I was lied to. The next told me to get an attorney, she told me the company lies to people to get thier money and they save there own butts by recording your voice giving your banking information.
She asked me why I didnt research it first off of the internet. I didnt know that you could. I asked her how she could sleep at night knowing she works for a company that steals from unfortunate people usually with some kind of credit problem. So here I am 199. Poorer than before. Buyers look out!
