I am writing in concern with a complaint against bedford lending group, 6 mudge way, bedford, ma.
I applied for a $10,000 loan with this company and was approved for a $10,000 collateral loan. I was told that i would have to send $974 for collateral which would cover the first 4 payments and i would receive my money in 24-48 hours by fed-ex. On april 1 i western unioned the $974 which cost me another $78.99 to a mr. Steven dole in red deer, alberta canada. My money transfer control number is 2361095032. I waited until the following day to call bedford lending to find out the status of my money for them to tell me that i would need to send another $900 because they found something in my credit report. I then told them that i would not send anymore money and that i wanted a refund. They agreed to this and said that i would receive my money in 14 days. I waited about 5 days then called to find out the status of my money. The phone is no longer answered bedford lending group it is now a recording that says "your account has been put on hold and that you would have to contact customer service". Customer service's phone number is the same as the number that we already have been calling. Before going through with this loan i did have a lawyer look over the contract and he said that everything looked legitimate. I don't have $1052.00 to just give away and do not know where else to turn. I have contacted the better business bureau in bedford, ma. They told me that they were unable to present my case because it was outside the scope of bbb mediation and arbitration services. I don't know who else to contact in helping me get my money back, any help that you can provide me would be greatly appreciated. Also upon signing the contract they do have my social security #.
