The straw that broke THIS CAMEL'S BACK, was when we remodified our loan in Dec. 2004. Three months into the new payments, I get a call, not a letter, asking me why I was not sending in the full monthly payment? I told her I was sending the new payment after the remodification.
She claimed she checked our file and it showed no record of the remodification. I told her the loan councler's name... Which of course she did not know... And I told her I would fax her the paper ASAP. She said there was no need because I only had the copy. Well, if I had the copy... Where was the original? She put me on hold... For 2 hrs. And 45 min... Another person got on the phone to tell me our payments were not 511.00 but 869.00 and they wanted the back payments ASAP.
When I asked her why did they go up so much... Her reply was. We're countrywide and we can do what we want! And hung up on me. Come on. Is this the way we are suppose to be treated? They use to intimadate the he#$ out of me in the beginning, but not any more. I LOVE our home. We work hard for what we have. Then when questioned about a payment or an extra "fee" we get told "we can do what we want" BULL... Countrywide IS NOT above GOD.
I once asked for reinstatement figuers which according to them takes 72 hours to come back. These figuers are only good for 14 days. Then when you ask for another one because the first on ran out, it comes in 1200.00 HIGHER than before!!!
How in the world do they expect a person on Social Security or only recieves income once a month to get current? Those of us who have fallen victims to the way Countrywide treats their customers MUST come together and put an end to all of this. From what I understand, Countrywide monitours their calls for 'quality purposes"... Bull. There is no quality here... When they hear one of there reps trying to help a customer... It's good-by to them.
Where I come from, Countrywide is known as the Hodini of Home Loans... 6 little words and your gone... We can do what we want.
