Discover card sent me a mailer that offered a free Sony dvd player for opening a Discover card account. I applied and was accepted and recieved my card in about 10 days. I was to get my Sony dvd player free, with free shipping, in 4 to 6 weeks after I used my Discover card, activating my account. After 3 months, i called Discover card and inquired about the dvd offer. They said that they saw that I had applied to an offer made through an independent, but affiliated branch of Discover card and I should get the free Sony dvd player in 4 weeks. 3 months later, I called Discover card again and this time no one knew any tahin about the free Sony dvd offer. I was then directed to a supervisor who said he was aware of some problems of this nature and he would try to handle the problem for me to my satisfaction. I said get me a Sony dvd player, or credit my account with $100. He said that he could not do either. 2 years and still ripped off.
