How Carter One gets you with excessive over draft charges?
On Friday I stopped to get gas at a gas station, it was $12.43. I then when to the mall to get an outfit for my daughter at sears. I actually made 2 different small transactions at sears. $7.45 and $24.45. At the end of the day Friday my account was fine.in my hast the next day I did a purchase for $39.34 that overdrew my account. When I returned I deposited the money in my account. I than found out that charter one took Saturdays purchase and entered it in ahead of Friday purchases so that I would be over drafted for all 3 purchases from Friday when my account was actually fine Friday at midnight, instead of the one purchase from Saturday. I talked to Ed Deeshaie and he told me that that's the way charter one does it and there's no way they will reverse the charges, that they hold the incoming charges from the whole weekend and put them in on Monday from highest to lowest, Which makes you get charged overdraft charges even when you had the money in your account at the time of purchase. I had to pay over $100 for over drafting my account one time. I deposited $300 on Tuesday in the atm and they held that for 2 days while on Wednesday a check came though for $20, and they charged me another insufficient fund fee. Ask them if this is true and they do not mine telling you yes this the way they do business.
