Ripoff! They Delay deposits to charge NSF Fees charge NSF fees when there is sufficient money to cover debits

Compass bank has a major scam going on! They claim to have this "time" in which all of their transactions are based on, but it's just an excuse they use to rip you off!

They have charged my account several nsf fees when I had the money in the bank to cover the transactions for which they claim their was non-sufficient funds. Just by seeing all the similiar complaints this is obvouisly something they are famous for. They have also delayed my deposits in order to charge nsf fees.

I had a 5,000 direct deposit made which showed as an available balance, so I proceeded to use my debit card that day, and what does the bank do, they post the debit card transactions before the actual deposit, (which I made first) and charged me three nsf fees for each debit transaction. They also, by the way, let me pull out 1500 of that 5000 dollars that morning before I ever made any debit transactions. If the money wasn't there, how could I have been able to get 1500 dollars in cash right from the teller?! I should have closed my account then, but like an idiot I did not and I payed the price for it because it continued to happen.

A customer service rep I spoke with at their 800 number couldn't seem to explain what had happened when they did this to me most recently and he refunded my nsf fee, something I had previously been unable to get them to do because they continue to insist on this "time" thing, but when I looked to see if they had refunded the fee the next day, they had, but they charged me another nsf fee... UNBELIEVABLE! I also have an account with Desert Schools and I have NEVER had any such troubles with them, in fact I've never seen a bank operate this way and I've had several over the years. They also have arrogant, rude customer service!

I'm looking into legal options and I plan to go directly to the media here in Arizona, newspapers, tv, etc. Because I have yet to recover the nsf fee's charged to me.

Is anyone else in Arizona planning to take action?
