I have a sony reward's card through chase. I used one of there promotion's and tranfered a large amount of cc debt to this card locked at 3.99% for the life of the balance. I've had this card over 5 years and never once have I been late on a payment. But I get my statement this time and the whole thing's at 12.49% So I called them and they tell me it was because they received my last payment late. It was due 3-8 and they received it 3-10.
1st The ONLY way it could be late is that it got lost in the mail.
2nd If I was late, one time, in 5 year's, and only two day's. That's not the way to treat a valued customer.
3rd The most interesting part is they didn't charge me the fee for being late, nor is it on my statement.
Seem's like they didnt want to honor the APR too me. Very sleazy way to do business. Not that they care, but they lost my business.
