In Jan '06 I singed up for what I thought was a free educational kit to sell products on e-Bay.
All I was required to do was pay a $3.50 shipping charge.in March '06 I received a charge on my credit card for $55.00. I then called E-Pro Auction to inquire.
They told me that I actually signed up for an ongoing service to use there web site to hold auctions. I canceled the account and sent a letter to request a refund since I did not use their service. (Never heard back from them) Then in April I received another charge for $55.00. I called them back and they assured me that I would not receive any further charges on my card.
I also asked them about the refund, them said that I would not receive a refund because I did not respond to them within 14 days of ordering the service. I paid this company $110 for absolutely nothing.
The problem is that they market this service as though they are e-Bay. And that it is an educational tool to sell products on e-Bay. This is a big scam.By the time you realize that this will be an ongoing charge on your credit card they've got you for at least a couple months' charges.
If you get involved in this don't expect to get a refund. When I called to ask for a refund they will not give you a phone number to the refund department or let you speak with a supervisor. Lesson learned: Read the fine print before ordering any educational material on the internet.
