"First USA Financial", as they were so-called, contacted my husband yesterday stating he was pre-approved for $5000.00 credit card limit. Odd thing is, when he asked for their phone number and website, they wouldn't tell him until all of his information, i.E. Home address and phone number, could be verified. Once that was accomplished, they had to nerve to give him their "website"... My husband and I pulled up this website last night, and found that none of their information could be established... Not even their contact number, or physical address. First USA Financial then said that they needed our checking account number in order to do a check by phone for the processing fee, my husband then asked why they just didn't take it out of the credit card itself, like other credit card companies do. Then, the "representative" said, "well, we don't do it that way." My husband, then called him on his dishonesty, and hung up. Luckily, my husband has a good head on his shoulders to know that this company is probably working out of their neighbor's garage.
