I received a phone call from Ron Lack from Capital Trust Financial stating that I was approved for a $7000.00 loan. The only thing I would have to do is prepay six months, a fee of $1275.00. So he faxed me the loan agreement, I read through it, it seemed legit and I sent the money by moneygram to a Kristen Carnes in Pickering, Ontario, Canada. I then received a phone call again from Ron Lack stating that the money would be deposited into my account by noon the following business day, only this time he left the message on my home answering machine.
The next day I received a phone call from Jeff Greene at Capital Trust Financial stating that while I am still approved I would have to send another $1000.00 to Kristen Carnes again. So once again I did. I then got another phone call from Jeff Greene stating that the prvate lender pulled out. But he promised me that I would get a loan. Well that never happened and I requested a full refund.
I was given written verification that I would receive the refund on March 6 deposited into my bank account. I called them on March 6th and left numerous messages because I did not receive my money. I received no return phone calls and no money.
I have now filed a repot with the local police station where I live, the Attorney General, and the Federal Trade Commission. I will continue to make complaints until I get my money back.
So beware, Capital Trust Financial is a SCAM!!! Do not trust what they are offering. Unfortunately, I did.
