Ameriquest Mortgage Company, a.K.A. AMC Mortgage Services, told me that I would have a fixed rate on my mortgage payments and every three months, this company increase the interest rate and the payments.
This action caused me to fall behind on payments and I subsequently filed a Chapter 13 to save my property due to the arrerages. Atorneys for the company sent me a letter stating that I had to pay contingency payments of one and a half payments per month or they would foreclose on the property.
I paid Ameriquest these payments for six months, while other bills were left unpaid. After I made these payments, this company increased my payments again.
Ameriquest sent another letter stating that they planned to ask for a Stay to be lifted by the banckruptcy courts for the purpose of foreclosing on my property because I owed them for October through December payments.
I paid this company for October and November payments and was working with a man named Mike Reese at the company who allowed me to make one-half payments until the entire payment was made. Ameriquest switched the worker and never notified me as to the new workers name or how to contact him.
Presently, I received a letter from Ameriquest a few weeks ago that was a notice of foreclosure on my property. I am given until the 14th of February, to pay the company $13,000 plus or else lose my house. I am a widow with three children and I don't have anywhere else to live.
