On September 15th I was solicited over the phone by a Company called Solow Solutions. They claimed to be a credit repair company that would send me a secured Mastercard if I allowed them to debit a $299.00 application fee from my account. Having been through a financialy recking divorce in addition to being unemloyed and exhausted, I agreed to their terms and gave them my debit card number. My account was debited on Setpember 16th for $299.00. A month later I received nothing and made a phone call questioning them about what happened to the credit card that I believed from our conversation would arrive in the mail with a credit of $299.00. I was told that I had to wait for the package to arrive and in it would be a form to fill out for the credit card. Every week I continued to call and was told that they are a customer service company and they can not help me but when I received the package I can send it back with a letter requesting a refund. After two months of continuous phone calls and being told that it was my fault that I was not listening to what they were telling me I received the package without a credit card. It consisted of a catalog that you could order merchandise from and some certificated for discounted airfares, no credit card. I again called them to inform them and they said the card was on its way. There was not a form in the package to request a refund as I was told. A gentlemen named Larry took most of the phone calls he was rude and disrespectfuland would not allow me to speak to a manager. Everytime I called back I was told a note would be put in the computer for someone to call me back and it never happened. On the 21ST of October I returned the package with a letter requesting a refund and again called a week later to see if they received it. I was told there was no way they could tell they were just a Customer Service company and they refused to tell me the name of their company. Two weeks later I received a form from Solow Solutions requesting $39.99 to receive a mastercard. It was a form that they adhered a computer typed label with their name on it and P. O box. I again called them and was told this mailing was an error. Of course, I was not going to send them any more money. I was told when they received the package it will take 30 days for them to return the money but they could not tell me if it was received and they would put in the database for the Company to call me. I never received any calls or a refund. On about my 20th call I was told the money would be back in my account on Dec. 15th. On Dec. 16th I called and was told that until after Christmas they could not tell me anything because nothing would be posted until after Christmas. On December 27th I spoke to 3 different rude individuals, Rachel, Jake, and I don't know the third name who told me their parent office would not be in until January 4th so they still could not tell me anythning. They were only the customer service company and they could not help me out. It is obvious that I will not be getting my $299.00 back and I want to make sure this stops and no one else gets taken. Who other then the Better Business Bureau can be contacted to stop these people and get my money back.
