When I went to make out a check to pay my monthly payment, I discovered thay had moved the due date back 5 days and it was now officially overdue! I can't get on-line to because their site is taken over by spam (hrsaccounts.com).
Upon calling them, I was told they had sent me a notice of this change in September (which I don't believe). And of course, they cannot cancel the late fees (after all, they would lose more money if they did THAT). And, to pay it today, it would cost me $15 more. I feel so used. They didn't even kiss me after it was all over!
When this company took over my Sears account for a furnace and central air unit way back in 2001. They sent me immediately to a collection agency because hadn't paid anything on the $24,000 debt. Nevr mind that I hadn't missed a payment. Never mind that I only owed $7200.
I was in the middle of re-financing at the time and you betcha this little gem slammed the brakes on that refinance until I could get that mess straightened out. How I wish that I had never done business with Sears (a whole other story) in the first place and secondly that they hadn't sold my account to this bunch.
Please OH PLEASE don't ever get caught in the clutches of this bunch. When you see their name on something... Run!
