I refinanced my house and had the proceeds direct deposited into my account for convenience. B of A charged me $12.00 for "wire transfer fees". I called customer service and they told me it is the same fee I would pay if I went to Western Union and did a wire transfer. Last time I checked, Western Union did not charge a fee to the person RECEIVING the money, and I paid a wire transfer fee as part of the refinance. They are double dipping for a "service" that costs them nothing. I have requested a refund in writing, but have received no reply.
