Ameriquest Mortgage Company
Lays off nearly 2000 employees, Merry Christmas! Ripoff

Great answer to your problem. Continue hiring people left and right like nothing is wrong... inform them at your training class that the lawsuits will have no effect on how the business is run. Then lay off everyone 4 months later right before the holidays. Many of us left decent jobs in pursuit of what we were told was a great opportunity. We were told that Ameriquest was trying hard to rebuild it's reputation and going forward 'do the right thing' was the motto. So instead of doing the right thing you lay off thousands of people to keep your profits high. Poor lending choices and mistakes made by people before us caused the $350 million lawsuit you are settling on. Why in the hell would you make our lives miserable for this? I wasn't part of the deceptive practices, I didn't do loans that put people in horrific financial situations. I worked hard and did my very best to ensure I was 'doing the right thing'. I had happy customers that appreciated what I did for them and made a decent living doing it.in return I get a 4 week base pay severance and a kick in the nuts right before Thanksgiving. Nice. Dear Roland, I hope you enjoy your $70 million vacation home and this Thanksgiving be thankful I'm not in your neighborhood. People before profits, reputation before revenue. Figure it out *holes. Quit lining your pockets at the expense of the average American family. It won't take long for people to see through the facade you put up... Sponsor of the American Dream my ass. Good luck with your next $350 million lawsuit, I'm sure you'll get many.
