I cannot belive that no one has sued this company. My problems began when emc mortagage took over our loan. Not only did they record payments incorrectly, they charged us late fees for things that were not late.
I thought that after we sold our house we would be free from them. But nooooo. Because of inaccurate reporting and very difficult to read activity statements we are haveing a very difficult time getting another mortgage.
Emc does not seem to take responsability for their incorrect reporting. We have been charged many fees which were not justified, but trying to get them to correct it is plain difficult. Emc over charged us on our escrow account which they have up to 30 day to repay us, i called today to find out why we have not recieved our check since it has been 45 days.
They told me that they cut the check on the 17th of october it is now the 31st of october, i still have not received it, they said too bad! We can cut another check after 30 day wait period, and then it will take a couple of weeks for it to get processed.
I thought that deadlines were put into place to protect us. If i waited to pay Emc their check i would get a late charge assessed. I think they owe me a late charge, and they should get fined for not meeting federal guidelines. Where are all the good lawyers when you need them?
