Platinum benefit group sent an e-mail offering a 12,000 credit card. As a person with bad credit naturally i wanted to check out the details. After filling out 4 or 5 pages of information i decided to opt out and closed the window on the site. I did not authorize anyone to withdraw funds from my savings account. A week later pbg sends another e-mail informing me they could not withdraw their fee from my checking account. (duh-i don't have one). Two weeks later i go to my bank to get a money order for my rent, only to discover $129.95 had been deducted from my savings account. I call pbg's 800 number several times-each time only to be told their system is down, call back later. I filed a complaint with my bank and it will be investigated, but they will not reverse the charges to my account until that investigation is complete.
