Sometime in late August i was phoned by this company. I was told that I would be getting a grant of 12,500.00. I answered their questions exactly as they told me to. I was assured that no money would be withdrawn from my bank account, that all the fees would be deducted from the grant. After a week of calling every day to find out when I would actually get the money I was told that once they deducted the fees from my bank account I would recieve the documentation for me to apply for the grant.
I imediately told them to cancell this, that was on 9/9/05. On 9/12 they had deducted 49.95 from my bank. I was livid. I contacted the Florida BBB thru email and described everything that conspired. A week ago i got an email from both the Florida BBB & American Adavantage saying that my 49.95 would be fully refunded to me. At this point i'm awaiting the checks arrival. Today I got another call from these guys trying to scam me again! I got very upset, but handled the phone call professionally and requested that they stop calling me house.
I would suggest to EVERYONE that's had issues with this scam to file a complaint with the Florida Better Business Beauru.
