Allied Interstate is trying to collect a "debt" originally from Micron computers. When I purchased a Micron computer there was to be unlimited hardware and software phone support. After 45 days, there were some problems so I called.
The policy had changed without notifying customers. They wanted me to pay with a credit card to charge for answering questions and helping. The computer was sent back. There was an outrageous restocking charge that has now grown to almost 2,000 dollars.
At some time the "debt" was with SHERMAN ACQUSITIONS. I just got a letter indicating that I am included in a class action law suit against Sherman Acquisitions. The law suit is to be heard sometime in December. Is Allied aware of this suit? Could this be why Allied Interstate has escalated their phone calls and harassment???
They have threatened leins on property, garnishment of income (SS disability and try living on that), freezing of savings & checking accounts, etc. They now want to talk to my lawyer. I don't have a lawyer. Can they do this?
