I refinanced my home and Ocwen purchased the loan. Since, then we have endured a rocky road. Ocwen seemed like a great company until we got behind on our mortgage. I called Ocwen and set up a forebarance plan because we were three months behind. They were threatening to foreclose on our property and not take any payments. So I spoke with a representative and set up a plan. I put over $1800 down and $1500 per month.
Well I made all my payments except two I was late and the representative said my plan was defaulted and they could no longer work with us. So I had to file Chapter 13 to save my house. Well Ocwen placed outragious fees on my account which resulted in over $16,000 in debt. They forced insurance and claimed my payments were lost or never paid.
I am still dealing with this company. I will follow the guidelines to file a formal complaint and I plan to attend the court date in person. Our house is still listed in foreclosure. Is there anything we can do? I will enroll in electronic bill pay next month with my Credit Union.
