Homecomings Financial
Have been jerking us around for 7 years RIPOFF

Well, where do you start?

In 1998 we bought our first home. 1 week after closing Homecomings took over the mortgage. That began our nightmare. For the first year we were ok. Then we got behind 2-3 payments because my husband had to have knee surgery. They sent us a letter and we dutifully called them. They said we had to pay them $1400 imediatly or they would foreclose on our home. Being young and dumb, I called my mom and she lent us the money.

A year later I had some medical problems and agian we got 2 months behind. Agian they said we had to pay this outrageous amount to get "caught up". Of course I couldnt call mom agian! So they set us on a payment plan. We paid $1200 up front and a higher payment per month.

Well at the end of the plan we had paid 10 months and on the 11th payment we had some overtime so I paid off the plan. Oh man was that a mistake I am still paying for!!! They said we were in default for 2 payments that were recieved via western union after buiness hours on the day they were due therefore they were dated the next day. They said nothing about this till we paid off the plan.

So again we paid another $1400 and got on another payment plan. Within this year we lost my husbands brother and our 7 day old son. We defaulted on the plan due to, well I didn't care what got paid! So after we got back on track we agian paid $1800 and an even higher monthly payment. After the first payment was sent they sent it back and agian said we were in default. When we questioned this they said they would put the account on hold and see what they could do.

Well 7 months later after repeated unanswered calls to find out what was going on. They send us a letter stating we are in foreclosure and we need agian to pay more money or our was being sold at the beginning of the month. I was 9 months pregnant with another son. I had him shortly after this call and called them as soon as I got home. I tryed to explain what was going on. They set me up to pay $1800 more dollars and another VERY HIGH monthly payment.

Well that same day my husband rushed me to the er and I had to have my gall bladder removed. The 1st thing the next morning he went and western unioned the payment to them. They sent it back and sold my house 2 days later. I called them to explain the papers we signed said the date they recieved the money and they had no right to sale my home. After explaing about the surgery they did say they would put the home back into our name (bank one had bought it not an individual.)

Before we even paid the first payment we get another letter saying we are in default (I am getting real tired of this word!). Well we got it straight somehow beings they never answer the phone, leave you on hold for hours, get vioce mails not humans, or tell you to wait and they would call you back! Well in Oct. 2004 I sent a payment at 6:55 our time.in california that SHOULD have been before closing. But they said they didnt get it till the next day. And agian wanted more money. Well this time I had had it and filed bankruptcy.

But it don't end there! They sent me a letter stating on Dec. 2005 I owed $8,700 and on Jan I owed $9,000. Well these are the numbers we used for the bankruptcy. They are now claiming that was JUST a refinance amount and we really owe $15,000! We filled for b/r in jan 05. We are still fighting to close the b/r and get on with it. We are going to court tomorrow to try and fight the amount they quoted.

If any one out there is considering using this company, DONT! They are crooked and will drain you of everything you have. I would love to bring a class action agianst them but the way they keep draining my savings account it isn't possible to do!
