Complaint / Review
Midland Mortgage
Ripoff

This little issue started when our property taxes went up, so in late may early June we received a letter stating that we are short on our escrow payment for taxes, in the sum of around $400.00 dollars, the letter came with a stub to mail with the payment seperate of the normal mortgage, and the letter stated that the mortgage increase would occurr the following month. The increase came in june and we payed the additional fees with the mortgage and then sent in the required funds to cover the escrow shortage, along comes july * note I sent in additional funds with the mortgage just in case... And we get a letter stating we are short $ to make funds I call Midland and ask then about the mortgage check that they cashed and then the escrow check that they had also cashed.

The associate stated that the escrow check had been applied to the mortgage in error, I then asked how soon this would be resolved... August comes along I call asking for a new payment book, to my suprise I get one in the mail a few days later for the amount it would have been if we had not sent in the shortage, I call back to MLM again and they say the funds have been applied to escrow but my new payment is 20$ more then the original amount, I call back and speak with another associate... Payment is adjusted. New coupon book in the mail or so they say... And today I get a letter stating we are short funds and now a late fee of 60 $, Now its time for war, I have copies of the cleared checks the dates and the times, can you say LS... I have already contacted the Oklahoma county court and have rcvd my affidavits... Companies like this can not take advantage of anyone, I think there are more of us out here experiencing this sort of thing..
