Ripoff, dishonest, credit card fraud

Merchants Beware of CSI (Card Service International) satellite sales location at 6360 east Thomas rd suite 114 Scottsdale AZ. 85251. My name is Andrew Smith and I contacted CSI (Card Services International) back in August of 04 to obtain a Merchant Account. A sales representative by the name of Daniel Spacek contacted me and guided me through the process of opening our merchant account.

All this time knowing their processor would not process sales from firearms dealers they still decided to charge my credit card 203.75 for the account setup fee. Shortly after that I was given a Merchant number that was inactive and told everything was setup to charge. After trying to charge credit cards unsuccessfully I contacted my sales Rep. Daniel Spacek with CSI back to see why I couldn't log in and process credit cards. He stated CSI will not accept transactions from merchants that sell firearms and tried to reword our application to state we sold Military Surplus to see if that would go through the Corporate HQ of CSI. At that time we decided to go with another processor instead of taking the risk of lying about the transactions we process and having our funds seized.

Since CSI's rules stated they would not accept Merchants that sell firearms. Daniel Spacek should have known that as a sales Rep and was made aware we sold firearms from day 1. After contacting him back we were notified we would be refunded within the next few days from the sales manager Marty McBride. I continued to call CSI on a regular basis getting the usual your money should be reaccredited shortly. Well I decided to issue a charge back through Visa to solve the dispute. Thirty days went by and I received a charge back response from CSI with a copy of my merchant contract. Stating they accepted my application and I decided to cancel out of the contract as per their terms I could not be refunded. Will the thing is CSI lied to Visa by stating we canceled out of our contract and that was the reason we would not be refunded. We were not able to process credit cards legally with them even if we would have kept our account. We were never given the ability to process credit cards. Well a year passed and I finally decided to give it one more shot. I called in and spoke to Daniel Spacek and he stated it was the Corporate HQ responsibility to reaccredit our card and advised me to call 18004565989. I spoke to someone at the corporate office and they advised me that Daniel Spacek was lying to me and giving me the run around.

They told me their office never received any of the funds. They stated the money went to that sales location and the only way to receive a reaccredit is through that sales office. They advised me to file a report with the AZ Attorney General for fraud, and a report with the BBB which I am in the process of doing. The bottom line is CSI needs to get their act together and start monitoring their satellite sales locations for fraud. The thing that strikes me as odd is that CSI doesn't even have anyone I could contact at the Corporate HQ's to settle this incident. It also amazes me that Visa/MasterCard has Merchant Processors that knowingly lie on charge back disputes.
