Ripoff Nasty little con artists

On July 16 I left to go on vacation. Before I left I filled my gas tank at a local gas station. While on vacation 4 states away, I checked my bank balance to find that $98.12 was missing from my account. Leaving me with less than $60 to get home (not even enough for the fuel that would be necessary). I found out that the $98 was all charged at the gas station. I called customer service at PNC bank, and told them that these charges were not mine. That I only filled my tank once at that gas station and my correct amount was $20.01... The charges after that of $20.05, $21.00, $22.01 and $33.00 were not made by me.

The initial customer service rep was unable to help me and transferred me to her supervisor, Tamika Davis. Tamika informed us that it would be 10 days for the time we filled out the form that would be mailed to us before they would do anything about it. My husband and I explained that we were on vacation and needed that money to get home. She got very nasty and told us to stay another week. We hung up with her and called back trying to get a different supervisor. We got her again. I said " Oh gee, I guess I'm not going to get very far with you" She said in an angry voice..."As I told your husband 10 days."

We then called the company that owns the gas station, Dunbar. The guy we spoke to their seemed to be very helpful and researched the situation and called us back a few times. He discovered that the gas station had had electrical issues that day and we were not the only ones that got charged for other peoples gas. He promised to take care of it and send us an apology letter with a gas card. None of which has been done yet.

We called a local branch of PNC and a manager agreed to give us a preliminary credit, thank god. A few days later she started calling asking us to hurry and fill out the dispute form because the corporate office was calling her about the credit she gave us. So unlike PNC, I did not take 10 days to fill out the form. I filled it out immediately and faxed it to PNC bank.

Here is where we are now. I just received a letter from PNC telling me that the charges I am disputing are valid and will stand. Even though Dunbar admits fault. Even though I reported it to the police. Even though I find it near impossible to fill my car with $110 in gas on one day at the same gas station. PNC concludes these charges are Valid.

I called them today and they are filing a secondary dispute, but I have no faith that they will be taking care of this properly. It's not exactly the first time PNC has given me a hard time...

But don't worry about me. I don't ever give up. I will dispute these false charges till I die if I have to and PNC will shortly be losing a customer. Maybe if I take all my money out they won't be able to charge me back that preliminary credit, then I bet they get off the butts and research these charges properly...
