The begining of March I recieved a phone call from a Majestic Benefits Rep and he stated to me that I had been turned down for credit sometime in the last 6 months. So he offered me an unsecured Mastercard with a $5000.00 limit with a one time fee of $299.00 and no annual fees and no other fees ever. He said that there was a 0% interest rate for the first 3 months and after that the interest rate would go up, but was gauranteed to be 12% or lower! Sounded Great!
I asked him a bunch of questions, even asked him if it was a scam because it sounded so good! He assured me it was no scam, it was just simply to help rebuild my credit. I asked him when I would have to have the money in my account and he said the computer generates a date and the date was March 7th but if I needed more time I could just call the customer service number which is 1-866-384-0341 and they would be happy to extend it. He was very nice, his name was Keith Jones!
So when I called to have them extend the time I had to get the funds in there, they said they couldn't do it. At the time my father was really sick and I was helping my family take care of him and my rent was due. Well, they took out the $299.00 and that made my rent check bounce, so now, I am getting evicted because of them taking the funds from my account. Which they actually took on the 4th instead of the 7th!
About a week ago I received a phone call with someone on the other end saying, "Congradulations, you've been approved..." from Majestic Benefits, when I told him I was still waiting on them to send me my card, which I had already paid for, he hung up on me without another word! The number on my caller ID was a bunch of 0s and 1s, which I couldn't call back!
So today after reading this web site, I called to get them to refund me my money and the girl started raising her voice to me and told me they do not refund money and there was noone I could call. So I told her she had no right to raise her voice to me, and she said she would have someone call me back within the next few days!
I am a single mother and recently lost my father, I definitely do not need to hear that I have just been scammed! If anyone needs me to help put them out of business, or convicted for fraud, please let me know!
