Max At Premeir, ID A15 Premeir Benefits $200 Shopping Spree Scam Nationwide

On 5/18/05 around 4:30 pm in the evening a gentleman with a Pakistani or Indian accent called my home looking for my husband. When told my husband was unavailable he began his sales pitch on me. He told me my husband had been selected to receive a $200.00 shopping spree.

When I asked how my husband was selected he couldn't tell me. He said that the secting process was done by the marketing department and he didn't know how they did it.

Instead he told me that he would send the $200.00 check to me instead of my husband, but he needed a $3.95 processing fee. And asked me about my checking info. I told him I do not give financial information out over the phone to a company I am unfamiliar with and did not contact myself.

He tried to reassure me by telling me Premeir Benefits was a reputable company with a legitiment ID number. I told him I would like to look his company up online and asked him for the EIN number. He didn't know it, after bragging about it.

I told him he could send me the package with all the great stuff first and then I would send him the $3.95 check. He again tried to reassure me by telling me he only wanted the information that anyone could see on a check anyway. I know that wire transactions only need the routing number listed on a personal check, so I wasn't about to give it to him.

He said I could call my bank and tell them I was authorizing a check for $3.95 and no more so that I could feel more secure. I told him I would have to call my bank to make those arrangements and verify his company first, then I could do the deal with him. He again tried to tell me what a reputable and good company Premier Benefits was.

While he talked his smooth con talk I typed Premier Benefits in my Google Search Engine and lo and behold I saw a "Premier Benefits complaint" link, and a couple others calling Premier Benefits a scam.

I started to read outloud some of the Premier Benefits complaint and scam info. A normal business would have stopped talking, acted upset that they were listed as a rip off and scam and would have wanted to see that info themselves and proove it wrong. Not this guy. He still kept talking over me trying to convince me of what a great deal he was offering me.

I was very lucky and didn't fall for this scam. If I had not found the consumer complaints verifying they were riping people off I might have succumb to his con. I just wanted to add my story to the list of other reports against Premier Benefits and their $200.00 hoax.

If you don't remember entering the contest, you have never heard of this company or dealt with them before, you did not contact them, and they insist on having any type of financial information from you up front HANG UP THE PHONE!

Signed,
a very lucky consumer

I hope this report can save a few more and stop this scam!
