America hold payments, raise rates, liars, cheaters and thieves! Ripoff wilmington

I thought maybe I was the only one having these issues with them but now I see this is just how they "do business."

I too had a fixed for life 5.9% card, sent payments timely and then for some mysterious reason they claim one payment "arrived late." Never have this problem with other credit card companies. They proceeded to tack on late fees, interest, then raise the percentage to 17%! Since when does it take two weeks from mail to get across the country?

They don't really offer anyone a fixed for life apr because all they have to do is hold payments back even a day and then jack your rate up, making more money in the process! Then after going around their corporate office trying to resolve this, they submit my account to their low life collection agency after 30 days "late.!"

So now I am dealing with them AND this National Arbitration Forum (which is paid handsomely by MBNA by the way and NEVER responds to emails or picks up the phone.) I never agreed to arbitration with them and I never received notice of their terms about any type of arbitration. MBNA actually solicited me over the phone to open this account and it is not a standard credit card.

There is no paperwork for it except this crappy photocopy they sent me which could be for God know's what kind of account. My lawyer advised me to fight them because he said MBNA and their collection agency are the worst in the business when it comes to providing accurate documentation before a judge. They are rotten but unfortunately, innocent consumers are falling prey to these tactics.

Until someone sues them or it ends up on CNN, nothing is going to be done about them. MBNA was one of the largest contributorsto the Bush campaign, THEY ARE ALL IN BED TOGETHER! Screw the little people! WE NEED TO FIGHT THEM TO GET THEM TO STOP THIS.

If you look online, MBNA is THE leader when it comes to this scam. I can't beleive they've gotten away with this for so long. Anybody who's even thinking of filing bankruptcy (which by the way the laws have changed now even MORE in their favor) and has an MBNA card, charge it up baby and then go tell them to you know what themselves!
