After filling a dispute with MBNA I waited, but not for long. Within a few short weeks I received a letter From Wolpoff & Abramson demanding payment. Followed shortly thereafter by a Notice of Claim by the National Arbitration Forum. I notified the NAF that no arbitration agreement exists between the parties and therefore they have no authority to continue and must immediately stop proceedings. Of course they ignored the truth and went on to give MBNA an award. The Fair Debt Collection Act says that ANY dispute is to be acknowledged within 30 days, investigated to a finding or conclusion within 60 days. During this time no fee's or interest of any kind may be added to the disputed amount nor may they close the account or report the account as delinquent credit bureau's. MBNA did all of these. More than one year after the initial dispute I receive a letter from MBNA claiming that my dispute is not valid. MBNA does not have the authority to determine weather a dispute is valid or not. This is a mater for a court of law to decide.
So thank you MBNA (aka: Scumbags) for trashing my credit. My hope is that there are enough of us out there who are willing to fight for our rights and CRUSH MBNA and the NAF into oblivion!
