My loan was bought by ASC several months ago. When it was sold to ASC I researched the company to see what problems i might expect. I must say I was shocked to see the number of complaints. I was REALLY worried and scared.
It turns out that ASC temporarily "lost" my first payment. When I discusssed this situation with Candice (initials YEJ) she rudely told me that they don't lose payments and it was definatley lost in the mail. I don't know how she would know this anyway considering the address for payments is in California and she was located in Iowa. Anyway, I was told to cancel the check and send another payment.
Instead of making the same mistake twice, I set up bill payment with my bank. I also canceled the check at my cost ($28). Well, after the USPS suposedly "lost" my payment ASC mysteriously cashed the check a week later after speaking with Candice; four weeks after it had been sent to them.
If ASC's customer service department had any sense of how their company operated they would have known that you cannot cancel a check when the payee is ASC. They are purely electronic so they still get your money even when the check is canceled. WOW! Now they have all of my money and my bank account is locked because they now have 2 months rather 1 month's worth of payments.
I could go on all day about the problems I am already having with ASC but I am exhausted from dealing with them. I wouldn't be surprised if there were suicides out there from what this loan servicer puts people through. I am also surprised there are no class action lawsuits against ASC. I pity every person who unwillingly has to deal with these people!
