On April 11, through orchardbank.com, I authorized Orchard Bank (aka Household Bank) to debit my checking account for a payment in the amount of $76.24. This payment cleared through my bank on April 12.
Today, I was surprised to find that my checking account was overdrawn. Upon investigation, I found out that Orchard Bank had debited my checking account AGAIN, two days later, for the same amount. I did not authorize this second transaction.
Tonight, I called Orchard Bank to clear up this matter. After having no luck with their CSR's, I spoke to a supervisor, who told me they were blameless, and that I must have made two payments in error. (I know better, since I keep records of everything). When I threatened to take action against this company for the unauthorized debit, the supervisor told me "I wish you luck with your endeavor."
Do NOT do business with this company!
