I was an employee at Mid States Financial group in Martinsburg, Wv. I began my position there and all seemed well, but as i realized that they had me sit in a rrom for a week reading magazines I began to think this may not be the place for me. After a week of doing nothing (Realized all i wanted to do was book loans) I talked to the boss and asked why am I here? If you want me to book loans then train me or let me go and i willl book loans no matter what! So i got "trained" whiched consisted of speaking with people about everything else but loans whom had no knowledge of the industry. The worst part is that the owner would email me porn clips all day, would drink every afternoon (they keep beer in fridge, he is a bud light man) and then I would get sexually oriented emails from the staff (which I printed and still have).
Now in the time I was there I had several loans I braught to them so I could make $ but they didnt care. So I booked the loans thru a friend and made some real $ my self.in the 12 days I was there I closed over 1.2 million in loans thru someone elso because of their laziness. After 12 days of doing nothing I could no longet take the enviornment as well as it was obvious they were not concerned with me doing well at their company. I would show up on time and leave late every day while others were sick or not coming in. Not to be rude but when it is time for business but down the beer and take the skoal out of your mouth when you speak to me. Well it is 45 days later and I have not been paid for my time as in stated in contract.
I called the owner today and he me he would check his records next week. After speaking to my lawyer i advised him that I would need payment for services by $ 4/18 or a lawsuit would be filed. He told me "dont threaten me" I told him it was not a threat but a reactin to breach of contract. He then told me to " shut the f* Up!" Yet another excample of the unprofesionalism. Needless to say a lawsuit is being filed. I will keep you posted.
