I have been in dispute about 5 collections that are not mine, and one is out of the SOL it is 9 years old and none of the agencies will remove it. So I wrote a statement to add to my credit report and it is as follows
" The above item is being reported innacurately by {credit agency} I have tried on numerous occasions to have this eroneous item corrected but to no avail it is still being reported wrong. This is fraud as constituted under the FCRA by {CRA} to you their paying customer.
Two of the CRA's said they would not put it in there and Equifax changed it to say "I believe this item to be innacurate I have failed to have it corrected to my belief but to no avail"
That's it. Are they allowed to change my statement?
