Here are some things to think about when you get the call. They called me about 9:20PM March 19th. It was an "unknown name, unknown number" on my caller ID. When they said they were conducting a promotional event for "Premier Benefits" I was immediately suspicious. Sales companies almost never block their number and usually noe their name in my experience.
They told me that my address has been selected to recieve a $200 shopping spree good at stores such as J.C. Penny, Best Buy, Walmart, Target, and a few more. I would also revieve 48 free DVD rentals, and four free movie passes. They only asked that call back to answer some questions when I finished with the movie passes.
The movie passes are "... Only good for 1 week after I recieve them..." but "... The $200 could be used anytime within 8 months.." They did not mention any details about the 48 DVD rentals.
Something else very strange to me was that the guy kept asking if I understood "each and every thing" they were offering. He repeated the "offer" many times and asked, again, if I understood "each and every thing" they were offering. There were other oddities in their language that signaled to me that these were NOT professionals.
They asked me if I understood "each and every thing" they were offering. When I said yes he said that all they ask is for me to pay $3.95 shipping in the form of a check-by-phone and may he please have the digits at the bottom of my check. I confirmed that all I have to do is pay $3.95 for shipping and answer some survey questions and that is it.
I told him to call back by mon the21st of march. I also asked him and was given his "name" doubtful its really his name.
