Last Feb 2 I was awaken by a call from a telemarketer and stating that I have been approved with a credit card (Mastercard). I was still half awake and giving all my details without thinking too much and then they told me they would debit it thru my checking account and the deadline of payment would be on the 17th of the month (Feb). They have assured me that they would send me the card before the month ends. Then I was wondering that time how could they ask for payment to activate the card in the amount of $249. But still I was giving the information they asked from me... Not until I hanged up the phone I realized that I have done something wrong.
I tried to call their toll free number and of course no one was available to answer and i left a message that I want to cancel it.
Just today Feb 17... I tried to check my account thru on line and there it goes they have deducted the amount $249 from my account and when i asked the bank they told me it was from SPECTRA. When i saw this website now i know that Iam totally scammed. I dont know what to do... How should i protect myself now... Do i have to get another SSN and close that account and open another one... They might continuously deducting money from my account. Please help.
Another one i have encountered was USA Credit they have also got $79 from my account last 2-08-05, i want to check if these company is legitimate they said they are from USShopping.com
