Wells Fargo
Ignores Bankruptcy Laws - continues to garnish wages

In January through no fault of my own, I was forced as a last resort to file a bankruptcy. Several creditors were harassing me in reference to several unsecured debts. These were joint accounts with both my husband's and my name - before I turned him in for aggrivated child abuse in 2001.

Since then one creditor attempted to improperly seize my vehicle and another began to garnish my wages (through Wells Fargo).

Upon filing the bankruptcy a month before the actual garnish was to take place - all of my creditors (and payroll department) were notified in writing by my attorney that there was a stay on any collection actions. BTW - I borrowed the $ from a family member to pay for the attorney.

However, Wells Fargo proceded with garnishing my wages (they now owe me approximately $300.00 which my attorney has demanded on several occasions to be immediately released into my bank account. To date zero has been returned and they continue to ignore calls and letters from my attorney.

She set a final deadline - on February 7th she gave them exactly seven days in which to return the funds. Monday was the deadline and guess how much was deposited into my account... ZERO.

My attorney has also contacted the creditor/attorney's to find out if they were in reciept of these funds... No. Which means Wells Fargo is sitting on these funds collecting interest at MY COST.

They not only owe me $300.00 for improperly garnishing my wages - but they've also docked my payroll for an full days wages, they claim this is just an "error".
