Transcentral is a finance company that factors bills to trucking companies.in other words they send your bill to the company you did work for and in exchange for giving you the money now they take a percentage to wait for the bill to come in within 10 to 60 days. That is all normal.
Transcentral sent us mail to use them as our factoring company for a lower percentage. We are a small trucking company that is family owned and we only have a few trucks running. We have employees with families to go home to for christmas after running hard on the road for several weeks at a time. We are not a huge company with tons of dollars because we are very good to our drivers because they are out there working very hard.
We chose to try to use this company at first because we felt it might be benificial to us as well as our hard working employees if we could bring in more money each month.
We paid around 380 dollars to run our information to get us set up with them. We never filled out any kind of contract or anything what so ever and we have never used them for any services for factoring our bills ever.
We deciced to go with a different factoring company for many different reasons including that the one we want to use is a local company and very friendly and pleasant to work with.
In the process of getting signed up with this company we come to find out that TRANSCENTAL has put a lein against our company to hinder us going through this other factoring agency.
Keep in mind that at this time we have already paid this company around 380 dollars for nothing. We have never done any buisiness with this company at all. When we called to find out what was going on nobody at this company knew what we were talking about. It took several days to even get ahold of someone who was authorized to do something about this situation.
After a slew of calls and quite the frustrated time involved they told us that we owed them 160 more dollars to release the lein. I have no idea what in the world this is for since we have never once used this company but they are hindering our progression with this other company. At this time we had about 30,000 dollars in bills that we were tied up on our payroll. We didn't have time or the funds to fight this so we paid the money to get the release. Later on in that same day we find out that they got another 25 dollars from our new factoring company and they just paid it as well to move forward and help us get this contract going.
I think that this is an extremely sneaky and shady way to do buisiness. I never will do any kind of buisiness with a company like that ever and if i can warn people that these people are not worth thier own words and help them not lose 500 plus dollars for nothing.
With that money i could have given all of our employees families a nice gift certificate and 20lb turkies for everyone.
