FLORIDA ASSUMED NAME SERVICES obtains the names and addresses of Legitimate Businesses who apply to the State of Florida Division of Corporations for what is known as a fictitious name. It sends out an official letter entitled Fictitious Name Instruction Form to businesses requesting money. It has no authority to register or advertise these fictitious names. It does not send the money it requests from business owners to the FL Department of State. FLORIDA ASSUMED NAME SERVICES keeps the money it collects from business owners and does no service for them. It is not an agent of the Florida Department of State.
