The company sent a notice that I had to register my Fictitious Name renewal by a certain date and charged $125 to do so. It appeared as a legitimate website but has nothing to do with the official State Fictitious Names Department for the state of Florida. The Florida State Department said they were aware of this scam artist but couldn't do anything about them because they put in fine print that they were not affiliated with the state of Florida. I had sent them a check but told the bank to stop payment on the check.
