On 10-JAN I received a collection notice at my work address for $319.90 from TxCollect, inc. Dba CTI. The name was incorrect, it had my first name as "Junior". The only way my name and work address are associated would be because I have a Visa statement sent here. Someone must have performed a very poor quality search of Visa's customer list. I currently have no negatives on my credit report.
The notice states "Dear Junior (lastname), your account was sold to Palisades Collection, LLC by AT&T WIRELESS and Palisades Collection, LLC has asked us to collect on this account."
I have never had a cell phone and my name is NOT "Junior". I called the number and was directed to call 1-866-638-1876 and give the my name, the letter's reference #, and my social security number. I won't give that in response to an unsolicited mailing.
